Mother's Day 2013 is just around the corner and you should make this day as special as you can so that both you and your mother will remember it and together cherish those memories. To make an event special and worth remembering you don't need to spend a lot of money, you do however have to plan the event with your mother's satisfaction in mind. As one of the world's most celebrated days, most companies, if not all have something special planned for mothers. If you're not working and you just have your allowance money there is still hope for you since companies usually have discount on mother's day items.
Date Ideas for Mom:
Did someone say "Shopping!"?
Women are known for their love for shopping whether it's window shopping or the actual shopping where they spend "their" hard earned cash to look pretty or more sophisticated. Why not take your mom out to a trendy jewellery store and get matching items? Charm bracelets are great as gifts because you can customize them and get charms that really mean something to you both. Charm bracelets unisex so even if you're a guy, this is still a great idea.
Take a look in your family album, do you see any photos in it with you and your mom wearing matching outfits? If so, maybe you could go to an affordable store at your local mall and get matching apparel. Remember, it doesn't need to be expensive. You can finish off such shopping dates with a treat from the food court.
Make Dinner Reservations for Two
Does your mom appreciate a good meal with desserts at the end? Invite your mom to a nice restaurant which you can afford (if your dad is anything like mine he will give you money to spend). Check the internet for nice restaurants, make sure you can see customer reviews as well as the menu and the cost. Call the restaurant of choice as soon as you can to ensure that if they do have a reservations policy for mother's day you're both on the list. If you can find a restaurant which offers live entertainment by all means choose that one, there's something about live entertainment which makes the evening come alive.
If you plan to make it a breakfast date or lunch date, drop by your local photo shop and take pictures with your mom so that you can keep it as a souvenir.
Low Budget but Still Special
If you don't have a maid then most likely your mother has to do the majority of the house work as well as all the cooking and preparations of meals. Why not switch roles with your mom this mother's day. Make her a nice breakfast she will enjoy, a lunch that will have her so curious to know where you learned to cook like that and have her dying to eat your heart warming dinner and dessert.
For this day, make sure your mom doesn't raise a single finger. You want her to know how much you appreciate all that you've done. Make her a card that she can always keep.
