Wrong!
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction that occurs. Some call it karma, but even if you are not superstitious you can recall a time when something bad happened to you after you did something bad to someone.
When we acknowledge the fact that we have to sometimes pay for the wrongs we have done we can't help but be more careful before we do anything. Being able to think things through before we make decisions takes time. We have to consciously make the decision to think first and act later but just like riding a bike - with constant repetition it too will become an automatic action.
As a part of being mentally stable it is important for us not to live in the past. One of the key things to being happy is learning to forgive ourselves. Without self-forgiveness it would be difficult for anyone to prosper. Trusting you to make good decisions also helps. Making and keeping self-promises also helps to increase self-trust.
Whether it be your interpersonal relationships, your childhood mischief, flunking out of high school or college, as long as you have breath in your body and you are mentally fit you still have time to make tomorrow better than today. A famous quote states: you cannot know where you’re going until you know where you’ve been. As a conclusion I say - accept your past, forgive yourself, think before you act and keep moving forward.
